Copy editing focuses on correctness, consistency, and technical accuracy. The goal is to ensure your manuscript is professional, polished, and free of distracting errors.

A copy edit is a thorough line-by-line edit performed at the sentence level after all structure, story, scene, character, and theme issues have been addressed.

During a copy edit, I review grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, capitalization, usage, and consistency. I also check for issues such as timeline discrepancies, character name inconsistencies, formatting problems, and adherence to a style guide when applicable.
